Activities from States

A parent's participation day in Bal Vikas Programme was conducted at "SAI SUDHA" (Sai Temple), Nalco Nagar, Angul on 03.08.2013. Even though it was a weekend, About 70 parents participated in the programme with full enthusiasm, keeping aside their chores. The programme started with the most enchanting bhajan 'Prema Mudita Manase kaho….'

A short introductory and welcome address was given by the BV Guru. It was followed by the chanting of Ganapati Prarthana and selected stanza from Bhaja Govindam (covered in BV syllabus) by the BV parents.

The programme proceeded with devotional songs by few parents. These songs included Ravindra Sangeet, Odia and hindi Bhakti Sangeet which was applauded by all. Next was the quiz session which turned out to be another interesting part of the programme. This session comprised of choice locking round, Visual round, Audio round and finally the Brain Metrix round. The quiz was anchored by one of the Gr.III passed out student of the Samithi and a BV Guru helped with the Score Board. The participants were grouped into three different groups namely "DUTY", "DEVOTION" and "DISCIPLINE". This session was also well enjoyed by the BV students; cheering their super moms and super dads.

Finally the DP summed up the programme and requested all the participants to fully avail the opportunity. As it is not just meant for their children but also for them to lead a happy and peaceful life. Sathya Sai Seva Organisation provides the platform for all sections of the society by reinforcing their all-round development of Body, Mind and Intellect through the three wings of the Organisation. The programme came to an end at 8.45 PM with formal vote of thanks by Samithi Convenor Brother Amitav Das and arati to Bhagawan with a sincere prayer to grant his grace and blessing for conducting many such programme in future.
