| Awareness Programme for Master Trainers . 24-26 January, 2009 - Prasanthi Nilayam |
| Background |
| In the fast changing world of today, the learning environment has undergone significant changes. Global forces, particularly geared by revolution in science and technology have impacted our life-styles, habits, attitudes and value system. Today's child is more aware and quick to pick-up the feel of things happening in the world, facilitated by www culture. Keeping pace with these developments and to promote the educare principles, Bhagavan Baba has graciously approved new guidelines for the Bal Vikas Programme. For implementation of these guidelines, we have the challenge of developing Bal Vikas gurus who are competent enough to create effective learning among the children. The gurus should be grounded with innovative techniques of handling teaching-learning process, particularly integrating academic contents with child's experience through the techniques of experiential learning. The training of large number of gurus can be facilitated by creating a pool of master trainers in each state. Hence, a three days awareness programme for master trainers selected from each state of India is designed. |
Objectives |
- To introduce to the participants new concepts/contents included in the revised Bal Vikas programme.
- To make master trainers aware of innovative and modern techniques of teaching - learning.
- To enhance the accessibility of master trainers to teaching learning resources, particularly related to new concepts and innovative techniques.
- To chalk out time-bound action plan for Bal Vikas gurus' training at state and district level.
